How to Create Server

Learn how to create a server on SneakyHub, a free hosting platform for Minecraft, Discord bots, and other game servers.

Create your Server

To create your server, go to our Dashboard, and click the Servers tab. You will now be presented with this screen. ( Figure 1A )

You want to click the Create Server button. After done, you will have this appear on your screen. ( Figure 1B )

You can put anything for the name, For this tutorial, it will be doing Minecraft. Where it says Software / Games, click the dropdown and click the Minecraft option. It should update your screen with a new message. ( Figure 1C )

From here, select which plan you would like. But make sure you will have enough shards to purchase that plan. If you don't please refer to the article, How to Earn Shards. If you have the plan you'd like, go ahead and select it and it should bring you to a new page. ( Figure 1D )

Go ahead and click Manage and you will be brought to our next part: Managing Server

Now, we want to go to our Panel. You will presented with this screen. ( Figure 2A )

As you can see, it says that the panel password is different than the billing one. Click the Forget Password and enter the billing email you've used to reset your password. Once you do, you'll be presented with this screen ( Figure 2B )

Click the server you've created. It will present you with a Installer Running screen. If you have it, please wait. If you don't, you can skip this step.

After that screen disappears, you should be presented with this screen. ( Figure 2D )

Just for this article, I will be focusing on pure vanilla server. Go ahead and go to https://serverjars.com. This website has a BUNCH of Minecraft server jars. Once the website is loaded, scroll down to where all the server jars are located ( Figure 2E )

You can play around with the different jars, and experiment but I will be using the 1.20.1 Purpur build. NOTE: If you don't see the server jar you'd like, go ahead and search it up on Google, as you can find the download at your need.

Once you've downloaded your jar file, go back to our panel and click the Files button ( Figure 2F ).

Now, delete all the original files by click the box next to them and clicking the Delete button once it shows. After, click the Upload button and upload your server jar ( Figure 2G ).

Click the 3 dots next to the file, and then click the Rename button. After, rename it to server.jar ( Figure 2H ) so the server can start successfully.

Lastly, go back to the Console button on the left, and press the Start button. When asked to accept the Minecraft EULA, click the Accept button. Now, we wait... done? Alright, sorry about that, it takes a while at first because it has to generate random seeds and worlds for you. But thankfully, you've successfully created your own Minecraft server, using SneakyHub!

Now, you are probably asking: where do we get the IP? Thankfully, our owner was smart and made it easy for us: on the top, next to the Status section! All you need to do is click it, and it will automatically copy it into your clipboard ( Figure 2I )
